Why does Barack Obama Represent The Purple Dialogue?

Faced with problems on a scale far beyond that which humanity has ever imagined or confronted in the past, we are now FORCED to become EFFECTIVE at generating viable SOLUTIONS for all of humanity. In order to move BEYOND the red/blue Republican/Democrat standoff we need a way to obtain mutually BENEFICIAL solutions. The Purple Dialogue is a LIVE communication process with the TWO-WAY exchange of information. Words do not communicate meaning and intent accurately so verification needs to take place. If there is ever disagreement on any issue then this means that both sides do not UNDERSTAND each other. At least one side needs to learn something new. They either need to learn how to express themselves better or they need to learn what the other side is trying to say, or both. Once BOTH sides UNDERSTAND each other accurately then mutually beneficial solutions become more obvious. Barack Obama is a good example of how The Purple Dialogue is used to express solution-oriented possibilities that take all points-of-view into consideration. Why do we need a Unity Ticket in 2008?
The Unity08 ("Unified") and Purple People Power ("Purple") position or perspective is that we are all one and that profoundly important issues can not be grouped with other issues and split between two polarized political parties. Each issue must be addressed separately according to its own specific merits. Life is NOT a RED (Republican) or BLUE (Democrat) choice but rather the "Purple" application of wisdom and knowledge according to a person's own individual experience IN RELATION TO the experience of everyone else. "If you have the choice of ONLY two options then choose a THIRD option." A Purple or Unified position represents the TRUE majority.
Our symbol of the red and the blue colors swirling or spiraling into purple represents the blending of UNDERSTANDING and not necessarily agreement. By understanding each other's point-of-view we can better explain our own point of view in a way that the specific other person can understand it.
Religion

An example of a Purple or Unified position in regard to Religion might be if people understood that religions use ancient metaphors (symbolism, allegories, parables, fables, anthropomorphisms, etc.) in their language that for them represent literal fact but when translated or interpreted into today's versions of other languages appear to be obvious fiction then perhaps you can understand the frustration that comes from this simple misunderstanding that causes major arguments and wars?
Pro-Life/Pro-Choice

An example of a Purple or Unified position in regard to Abortion is that pro-life and pro-choice can exist simultaneously if people understand that they do not need to take the life of an unborn child and that if they truly do not want to or are otherwise unable to take care of the child that they can "Safe Surrender" the child to an appropriate agency like a hospital, fire station, or police station anonymously. If you call one of these agencies they will even come to you if necessary. Then, there is the issue of seemingly "forcing" a woman to carry a child to term which can be solved by offering the "transfer" of the fetus to another woman may not be able to conceive herself but who may be able to carry a child to term. There are ALWAYS possibilities for literally everyone of every position on the issue of Abortion.
Socialism, Capitalism, & Healthcare

An example of a Purple or Unified position in regard to either working for the state/government or working for oneself or chosen corporate entity (socialistic vs. capitalistic) is that each individual person should have the choice of having everything provided for them including healthcare at a minimal level of subsistence in exchange for a particular type of work, or, to work for oneself or the employer of their choice and receive the level of subsistence of their own particular personal need or desire and choose their own healthcare provider.
Homosexuality/Gender Ambiguous/Gay Marriage

An example of a Purple or Unified position in regard to gay, homosexuality, and/or same-sex marriage is that if we realize that different people have different combinations of male and female organs, hormones, genes, DNA, etc. and that each outward manifestation or appearance of a human being may be different than what is actually on the inside then who is to say what gender a person actually is so as to deny that person partnership with the specific other person of their choice? Some people with breasts and a vagina ALSO have internal testes. Some people with a penis ALSO have internal ovaries. It is time that we recognized our individual unique differences and understand that we are all ONE in our respective uniquenesses.

We ALL need to endeavor to explain ourselves better as well as listen to the needs and experiences of other people as a means of understanding the totality of the situation and to allow our collective genius to provide the solutions that benefit ALL of us.
